Minutes: Ross L/Jolene N motion/second to approve Oregon CHA minutes from 2/5/10. The motion passed by majority vote of: 10 yes.

Financials. Teresa S went over the 2010 Profit & Loss. OCHA has a net profit as of 4/5/10 of $6,944.0 She stated the checkbook balance is $39,985.56. Kathy B/Shelly S motion/second to approve financial as submitted. The motion passed by majority vote of: 10 yes.


Banquet: Kathy stated the banquet will be held again in conjunction with the finals show in Albany. Jamie suggested Kathy sale themed (reserved) tables at the banquet.

Auction: No Report

Awards: Saddle Classes – Clarification on saddle classes - 1 saddle to the highest participants earnings in the $35,000 NP, $15,000 N/NP or the $5,000 N/NP (money is non-combined). 1 saddle to the highest participants earnings in the $15, 000 AM or $2,000 Rider (money is non-combined). Ross brought a pine bench for the board to look at as a possible year-end award. It was also suggested that we might think about the wooden clocks that were given several years ago. Kathy Baumann has a business card from the person that made them.

NWAB: All sponsored.

2010 Show Season: NCHA Days will be held in Pasco Washington ~ Oregon will be hosting a dessert social and a combined silent auction– Teresa S is working with Dale Cathey on the OCHA fundraiser show that will be held on July 30th in Tenmile.

Sponsorship/Added Money/Saddles: Added Money is down. Please contact the Oregon CHA if you have a potential sponsor. Jolene will be ordering 2 saddles.

Cascade Horseman: Things finally seem to be working well. There will be a spotlight article on Ross Linton in the July addition.

Youth Clinic: - The next clinic will be held at The Peterson’s in Redmond on April 17th & 18th. The 3rd clinic will be held in June in Tenmile. Teresa asked anyone would be willing to help out at the Redmond clinic. Shelly S. said she would come on Sunday.

NWCHA – Sarah R reported on the recent changes on NWCHA. She stated they are working on new ideas and polices that will go into affect in 2011. NWCHA has asked for 2 Oregon CHA representatives to set on the NWCHA board they will be Ross Linton and Jess Phifer.
